Hope you have better luck with it than I do!  If it's the Malaga roundie found on Craigslist, the seller seemed entirely disinterested in answering any preliminary questions.  Dismissed me with a "if you can't some see it, idk what to tell you."  Looks super clean, though!

 

I'll be in Jeanette for business this week, could potentially take a look for ya.

The CL is down but seller sent me a video of engine running yesterday.

Just got back to North Seattle from Reno with one of Mark Radovan's former cars it's a treat!  I was on an '02 Board back in the late 90's/early 00's when I had my tii that I had to sell in '03 -- was it this one or a related one?  Sold it for $5,500 and bought a mint 528i manual from a little old lady at a garage sale in Nashua, NH: $1,500. I feel sick gotta go LOL.

I'm thinking we are gonna bag it - the ad expired and I asked him to send a round of detail pics and he came back with the either you want it or you don't thing, which is OK if I still lived in Pittsburgh and could come see it with cash in hand and drive it but not ok from Seattle. My old tii I found online. Lowered on Billies... sigh.

The car in question is pretty rusty. Current seller bought it back in July? From a long time owner out of Cleveland off of Craigslist. I tried finding the pics the Cleveland seller sent me but I can’t find them. He is a flipper so don’t take too much guff from him.

Yeah that's gonna do it for us. We were already wheezed out a couple days ago and when the ad went down and we told him we have no issue with money but need detail pics before putting the better part of $10K out for a car (or hell, even $3K right). He peaced out talkin' 'bout take it or leave it basically so we're like nah mang we gonna' have to leave it. Womp-Womp.

....Not quite so sure exactly what this comment was supposed to do. Seems a mite flippant actually. Whatever man some folks here got it and were actually here to help, what a concept. I actually got good information, which is the point of this board I believe.  I've typically found '02 boards to be good for that since I was involved in them when the Internet started basically.  Also while I may be a Solex on this board I have grown up around BMW and my friend's Dad worked with Max Hoffman when he co-owned Jaguar Volvo BMW BL Cleveland and I've owned 8 vintage BMW since before some of them were even vintage, from tii to 535is (my current DD) to E90 is the newest BMW I've ever owned and guess what:  I bought some of them by doing exactly what I did here so I don't need any snark from you.
