cold start issue

just tried starting my 74 2002tii and i heard a pop, like it backfired, and the idle took off to a high rpm and won't idle down and sounds like i have a bad vacuum leak somewhere? any ideas

Check your air hose from the KF pump warm up regulator to the bottom of the intake manifold.

By the by, you’ve posted this enquiry in the specialized discussion for 1600ti and 2002ti models, those factory-equipped with dual Solex sidedraft carburetors.
