Okay Folks, 

 

On offer is a known good trans and diff from my personal car. I know many will have sticker shock and say things like people in CA are out of touch etc... I hear ya, but when it comes down to sourcing rebuildable cores and then paying to have them rebuilt it's gonna cost more in the long run.  Anyway, we can debate if you want to. This price is, for me anyway, the cost to let them go knowing I will never find this stuff in this condition if when I need to.  It's just a new reality.  

 

I have assembled in addition to the matching 245 & 3:90 diff a host of other parts to aid in any conversion.  

 

 

Parts lot includes: 

 

1) 2002 diff cover (e21 attached),

2) tii 228mm clutch kit

3) 320 shifter platform, platform mounts, bolts, shifter selector end, foam pad, plus rod for shortening 

4) 323 Throw out bearing-no noises and is good

5) Clutch fork and retention spring

6) Rear cross brace & rubber mount

7) e21 10 mm CV's 

8) Exhaust hanger bracket

9) Slave cylinder hard line with bracket

10) Inspection cover

11) CV crush spacers and 10mm bolts

12) 3 hardened Guibo bolts and nuts

13) BMW roundel leather knob. 

 

Individually the above parts stash would likely cost you a $1,000 to buy, but don't take my word for it ask Blunt or Maximillian. 

 

What's still needed for the conversion: 

1) 3 bolt driveshaft flange

2) Clutch slave 

3) Rear trans mounting bracket(s)-or relocate your existing tunnel tabs. 

4) Short shift tower: You can alter this unit to work or buy new kits

5) Guibo(flex disc) Although I have a used one you can have-looks ok to me. 

6) Drive shaft shortening

7) LSD spacers  

8) And the balls to do it

 

Shipping in US via a super cool Metric Mechanic shipper box so it can go UPS ground. Local pick up will get a discount for the shipping.

well, I had both a diff and trans shipped to CA from MO for around $270 so maybe $300ish? plus insurance perhaps.

Some parts take a lot longer to sell.

some need a desperate buyer

some need a clueless buyer

but, one thing's for sure they all need a

monied buyer.

the more expensive the part the fewer buyers.

if I were doing a project I would buy this to start with
