"What year is it?"

I've had life going on, so haven't been around, but still driving the car daily...

 

Some guy, holding up traffic, asks me,"What year is it?"

 

Me, being annoyed already and a bit of an asshole, said,"2022." And drove away. 

 

But I think that's going to be my new answer.  I mean, if plastic grills and square lights don't tell you enough, then it doesn't really matter what year the car was made.  And honestly, my car is more '88 than '76 anyway...  Maybe that's what I should say when they ask for clarification; '88.

Both of my 2002’s have year of manufacture license tags (front and rear). I’m always asked “hey, what year are those”.

 

Absolute worst was my next door neighbor thought they were a Ford product.??‍♂️?

I'll be driving to an event with numbers on, and ALWAYS get asked what year?

But my favorite moment of 02 disorientation was, "That's beautiful. Is it a Corvair?"

I've answered that way before. Usually I give the month and day as well.
