B48/N20 Engine swap?

For a cheaper alternative you could get an m44 and a turbo or supercharger kit.

 

The m4x motors can easily be swapped into an 02 with a kit, and are plentiful and cheap.

Just a perspective I owned a 1998 318ti with a m4X engine. The chassis was superb but the engine was a POS. Actually I’ve owned two of them, one new and the other used. Both engines were a POS. I couldn’t get the 2nd used one to even pass emissions.

Noho 2002- Looks like you have an auto transmission on there. Is there any way of doing a manual trans? Are you using original ecu, pedal, ignition and making abs and disc sensors on the car? Sorry lots of questions, I want this to work instead of doing a K series swap hahaha

Transmission is auto on pictures because it’s bigger than the manual. We wanted to make sure we had room to build all the cross members 

 

ECU is original but was sent to Motec for reprogramming. Gas pedal will be used from the engine, break and clutch will be from 2002

 

not sure what we finalized on brakes yet:))

Please do tell more about oe ecu & motec. What features they can restore, user tunability etc.
