    Hey, I’m not sure about specific details a lot of custom Work on suspension, electronics is a whole other matter, ecu harness etc, steering column won’t fit so that needs to be redone, engine mounts, new subframe, rear diff also different. Transmission tunnel work also but all that is for my 2002, not sure about the e30

    Hi Guys, Happy New Year everyone!!! The B48 transplant was delayed a bit due to another one of my cars was being restored..that’s for the wife (1957 Isetta in Tiffany Blue:) and that as u know is always a priority. They have now started to button up the Green Monster so will send pics as we progress

    Love that bro…yeah the car will get reinforced underneath massively…cross memebers everywhere!!…because we didn’t cut the car up it still will remain the structural integrity. We will do wider wheels and tires..and def big ass breaks :)) car is expected to have 330-400hp as we are tweaking the software, and a bigger exhaust everything is coming from a 2022 430i…the diff, the driveshaft, the tranny will keep u posted

    Transmission is auto on pictures because it’s bigger than the manual. We wanted to make sure we had room to build all the cross members ECU is original but was sent to Motec for reprogramming. Gas pedal will be used from the engine, break and clutch will be from 2002 not sure what we finalized on brakes yet:)) almost finishing..maybe another month

    We are a month out..interior is getting finished and suspension is done. Will have images soon

    Thanks Peter….the transmission will be a European 6 speed out of a 430i. The rear diff is also from 430i, rear end will need to be customized and control arms will be shortened as the diff is wider. Custom drive shaft etc :))) this should be a monster

    I’ll check on the location of the rack as I am not too sure. And haven’t decided on the struts yet

    We will be taking care of that steering column for sure, thank u brother. I think we are using a steering box out of a Mazda Miata so should fit :))

    Looks like I’m keeping the AC with plenty of room for the radiator :)) Minimal cutting and modifications

    Great read indeed thank you for that. I think also the radiator will have enough space. Only fabrication will be the tranny tunnel

    Pics will be coming during this week as the we are trying to get the fitment on the engine bay without modifying anything but the tranny tunnel. The new 6 speed is a bit fatter :))

    That’s a B48…it’s in the 330i of current years. I’m not what u mean by 8 or 7 though

    Back half will get a diff from 430 bmw…the original E21 could be rebuilt but I don’t want to take a chance. Also custom driveshaft will be made and they will reinforce the bottom of the car in general tranny will be a 6 speed that comes with the b48. It will be out of a new Supra :))

    Thank u so much brother :)) Oil filter just got relocated to the top so car can be serviced from the top instead the bottom :)) steering column will be rebuilt and redone and brakes is a whole other headache :)) but it will be a rare 2002 with about 330 hp on tap makes me smile just thinking of that

    Motec Stand Alone…had to send to the UK to get files deleted and reprogrammed to function with all the 1974 parts :)) pain in the ass but I think will be worth it :) will send updates
