I think this one in pic is from 71-74 it has long returns vinyl strip, bumper and returns,  guys are doing mock up but not install, One pic I painted a red extra brake light,   came with bunch of parts ... I am looking for 1968 short ... in misc  parts I will have 2-3 '68 rear bumpers , one bumper will need real repairs see pic was on car when hit oters will be rough, & future real nice  ... can sell great price or trade 2 '68 dog dish hub caps, trim drivers side, rear and small radius corners, swan neck mirror or repair of swan neck mirror      Lucian

Yes, Lucian, the bumper shown above — with long side elements and a rubber rub strip — was originally fitted to U.S.-spec Modell 71 cars, which includes all U.S.-spec round taillight cars manufactured from April 1971 through August 1973. This, thus, includes, late 1971 models, all 1972 models, and all 1973 models.

 

The same long side elements were also used on Euro-spec cars manufactured from September 1973 through the end of ‘02 production (square taillights). But Euro-spec cars used a center section punched out for license plate lights and generally did not use rear overriders.

 

By the way, your car’s coming along nicely. Big improvement!
