02turbo decal drawings/layout/artwork

All,

Does anyone have drawings from which the decals could be produced (especially the front air dam decal)? I know there's a few specialists selling...but I somehow prefer to invest $ in critical mechanical parts instead of $vinyl$. Especially as shipping & taxes multiply the feeling of being shafted.

Stickers are a big thing out here in Asia, so the fabrication is straightforward from drawings or something to copy.. 

 

Anyone got something to share?

Another question to pose regarding this.

 

Back in the '80s I bought a full set from BMW. IIRC they are 3M material. The question is will these still adhere properly after being stored for so long?

There's no doubt that the quality and stability of plastics from the 1970s was far better than today... I posted elsewhere my cars running-in sticker still going strong despite 40 years exposure to sunlight...

I dunno if all the stickers were that quality and if the adhesive stickosity remains good...but I would say it's likely it's still good.

I purchased an entire set from a guy in Germany who has an eBay store. They appear to be of good quality but I have not installed them yet to see the finished product. The set was $350. When I get ready to install them, I may get them scanned so I have a backup in case any get messed up. If you are interested, pm me and I can give you his contact info. By the way, does anyone know when the Turbo's left the factory, were the decals cut at the panel edges or were they wrapped?
