FS: Heater Box Rebuild Kit

Price: $15

Description:

I recently purchased the supplies to rebuild my heater box. I bought the grommets and foam online and have ended up with a bunch of grommets (they come in 100 pieces) that I don't need so I figured I'd help the brothers and sisters who are in the midst of or entertaining the thought of rebuilding their box out by selling them my left overs from my rebuild. Here is what's included:

- 6 grommets for the flaps
- 2 grommets for the valve cable and motor wires that penetrate through the top portion of the box
- Enough foam to redo the job on the three flaps and the heater core
- 3M Black Strip-Calk to seal the box back to the firewall

The only part missing is the two grommets for the heater core inlet and outlet. Now these two come in two flavors, small 16mm for early and large 18mm for late cars. They are unfortunately NLA from BMW and the rebuild kits that are out there use regular grommets that you then shave with a dremel tool to fit the task. I believe both Blunt and PrDesignSF offer these kits but you'd have a hard time convincing them to sell you those two grommets out of the kit so... The decision is yours if you want to:

a) reuse your old grommets (don't recommend it)
B) go to your local hardware store and find a grommet that fits in your hole and adjust using a dremel tool or sand paper to shave the excess (this option works with what I'm offering here)
c) buy the rebuild kits offered by Blunt or PrDesignSF and such

I'll sell my stuff until I run out of supplies. I'm not trying to get rich with this stuff so I ask that you only pay for shipping material/fees and the time it takes for me to package and drop these off at the USPS.

For you lazy folks out there I will include the link I used to guide me in my rebuild. I have purchased the supplies suggested in this DIY by Rob Siegel:

Happy 02ing and be safe out there.

Also Promano (member here) sells these rare grommets you speak of.

Dang, one shy of the elusive number 10! AND if i'm not mistaken Promano is the same gentleman owning PRDesignSF
