engine swap M2 Oil Pan Question

Hello Guys, for some weird resason the bolt pattern of my 2002 M10 Oil Pan is not matching the bolt pattern of the S14 

 

The Guide for the M2 says I can Use the 2002 m10 oil pan but due to bolt pattern im not being able to do so

 

What Carters can be used for the m2?

m10 pan will fit, bolt holes aligned...i had one on mine.  then i switched to Massive  s14 pan.

Mlytle your answers always make me happy how much was the massive oil pan? Do you have your old M10 oil pan around? Maybe if it has te quired modifications I can buy it from you

No modification should be required.

Hello Nick, thank you for the information, is the oil pan baffle required to use the 02 oil pan at the S14, do you need to cut and weld for additional space for S14 oil pump?

Baffle is only needed if you intend to drive fast 

 

Seem to recall you use the m10 oil pick-up, but search here for your definitive answer. Certainly no cutting required.

yes, baffle only needed if you will be vigorously "exercising" the car, but it is certainly a good addition regardless.

you have to use an M10 oil pump with the M10 pan. or at least take the S14/M10 pumps apart and use the M10 pickup. no cutting or modifications needed.

Lee still has the MassiveBrakes oil pans advertised on his site. he may have one left. they are not cheap.

Last time I spoke to Lee about his oil pan he did only have one left.

If you use the 2002 oil pan, you need to use an m10 pump or m10 pickup.  I used the 2002 pan for several years without a problem.  I upgraded to a VAC S14/2002 pan, which is similar to what Massive sells.
