Rule No. 1 - if your motor mounts are older than 17 years = TOAST

Rule No. 2 - if you don't know how old the mounts are = Toast

Rule No. 2b - if the driver side is a round rubber, not rectangle = Obsolete

Rule No. 3 - new mounts are way better that what's in your car now.

2 motor and 1 trans mount are only $49.99 or less -

easy labor.

My mounts are fine and just would like to verify the thickness. I am in the middle of a M20 swap, following 6 goes into 2, and when the driver side mount is bolted up the other side of the block rests on the passenger side mount which does not allow me to install it. I know I might have some other issue but that is the first think I think of.

Rule No. 4 - always leave both mounts very loose while lowering

motor and aligning all the mounting bolt holes - then begin to

snug-up yer nutts - that includes trans mount if the trans is

attached to the motor while lowering onto the motor mts.

Do Not have one side tight while trying to attach

to the other side. Please
