One piece dash installation

Tried seach maybe someone can find..or

One piece dash install, can it be managed without damage to the defroster ducts if they are fastened to the dash, or should they be fastened after the dash is partially installed?

Also..

Is there supposed to be material overlapping windshield opening toward the outside where the glass rests at "A" pillar?

Seems it would be a leak if it does.

Should it be cut flush at the flange and not overlapped?

I'm trying to remember the setup when I installed my dash though I forgot to drop the defrost ducts in prior to installing the dash. Jim Gerock can attest that you can install the ducts w/out fulling removing the dash

I'm thinking that, yes you can screw the ducts onto the dash and install everything w/out much trouble

My windshield is out I tried sliding the complete assembly and there are some binding/tight areas so I am assessing a better way...I dont have to deal with the two top screw issues. I just want to preserve the ducts even after beefing fastener points on the ducts.
