e30 struts on bmw 2002

has any one put e30 struts on a bmw 2002 i having trouble researching this looks like no on ehas doen this... can any one confirm? please share

the e30 steering linkage goes forward and uses a rack.. 2002 goes back and uses a box/pitman arms. Conversions using a e21 rack and shortened 2002 pitman arms are known, but not e30.

You will have to convert to single circuit brakes as well, to satisfy the e30 calipers.

Seems like a lot of work for.. not much gain.

You could however cut off the E30 strut tubes and weld them to 2002 (preferably tii) spindles. That way you can run larger diameter (and much more expensive) racing shocks. You'll of course want to shorten the struts and run a coilover setup as well. I am considering larger strut tubes for my '74.
