Need thread specs for shifter

I buried this in another post and the entire group must be baffled.

I am looking for the thread size of the shifter. I need to confirm the diameter and pitch of a standard shifter. I checked mine on a 1976 and know what it isn't. Anyone?

Mcmaster doesn't have them from what I remember. I would just do a search on ebay. I think they were ~$40 last time I checked.

Edit: Here's where I found it.

That's what I thought.

Any suggestions where to buy a m15x1.5 tap?

Tried Production Tool Supply. Will try McmasterCarr next

Yes, definitely 15x1.5. I just bought one from the seller named merlintools on ebay. Wasn't cheap ~$26.00 and shipped from China. Worked great though...
