As a follow on to a related post nearby, i too have a set of the magnesium Chromodora rims that i am reluctant to use until i know what lug nuts to use.

i have lug nuts that came with the common BBS rims. they are steel and the end is capped so the studs are not exposed. what should i be looking for to safely mount these rims?

thanks in advance.

The tire shop told me to get m12x1.50 acorn nuts. I got them at autozone and they seem to fit well. I will find out shortly I guess.

You can use a standard acorn if there are steel seats pressed into the lug hole.

If there are no steel inserts, the correct lug nuts are the bulge seat acorn with a 60* taper. Same as those used on the factory alloys.
