Scan your local Craigslist for high quality older US made jacks like Weaver, Walker, Blackhawk, etc. Replacement parts readily avail for most. A GREAT source for info is on garagejournal.com, guy there named Hiball can get you hooked up with parts/info/ (and service if you are in or around MO). Lots show up on my local CL between $50-$100 I have a Weaver 2ton that is fantastic but is a long frame so you need a bit more space than with a standard short frame. Quality is outstanding.

If you can swing the cost of the AC HYDRAULICS jack buy it. It has a metered lowering rate. Have had mine for at least 6 years never ever have I had a problem. Also you can get replacement parts. One of the best pieces of equipment in my shop. Good luck

How much did you give for your AC and where did you get? Have heard nothing but great things about them.

I have a Craftsman 3 ton that slips under my 2002 with the cup off. It doesnt help my car is slammed on Korman race springs. Before that my dad had an orange harbor freight 2.5 ton that he had for like 20 years.
