1502 Baur spotted in DC?

Interesting. Not a Baur job, but could be a Lumma conversion.

Has all the details of a Euro car; maybe the owner added the chrome trim if it is/was a 1502.

It's certainly been in the wars.

Edit: have it on my list (info from the 2002 Registry in 2005)

VIN 4197640 - 1976 1502 Lumma conversion

THE BAUR CARS HAD FIXED VENT WINDOWS WITH OUT A FRAME ON THE LEADING EDGE .

THE REAR 1/4 WINDOWS WERE GLASS AND WOULD SWING DOWN WITH THE TOP FRAME AS IT WAS LOWERED , KIND OF LIKE THE FIAT SPIDER .

THE FULL BAUR CABS HAD BEEN REPLACED BY THE BAUR TARGA BY THE TIME THE SQUARE TAILLIGHT HAD ARRIVED .

THIS ONE IS PRETTY CLEARLY A HOME DONE VERSION .
