Turn Indicators

Can anybody tell me why the turn indicator light on the dash only blinks once or twice, but the outside bulbs flash o.k.

Ground.

I ran a ground from the back of the cluster still same problem, Someone told me to switch the wires on the turn signals?

The issue is one of dirty/ misaligned contacts in the flasher relay.

Easy DIY - remove relay cover and clean contacts (emery paper, alcohol, etc.) and make sure they're properly aligned with their 'mate'. This'll do it.

Took turn signal relay out cleaned w/e paper and contact cleaner>>>Everything is straight still 2 flashes on the dash turn indicator light that's it. Don't know where to go from here

Clean the rear tail light grounds. Polish to shiny.

Clean the front turn signal screws, they ground the front signals.

Could also check the 'cancel' tab the signal switch pin contacts to ground the circuit. Remove steering wheel, behind the horn ring, should be a white metal washer style piece with a wide tab at the 3 o'clock position, remove and clean. Put it back in the same position you found it. Centered on the signal switch pin.

I understand and appreciate your frustration. I had the same problem with Vern. My previous post is what resolved the problem for me. Clean grounds and contacts are key to having a properly functioning electrical system.
