Hello all, I have decided to take another stab at selling my beloved 1600.

I am going to list it on Ebay in a few days, but I figured that I would give the board the first shot. I am asking $4k. I am the second owner of the car and know a fair amount about it, but I learned last time I listed it that I dont know squat about these cars compared to you guys! A few members did come by to check it out and I sure that they will chime in with observations.

Here is what i do know: 1969 black plate purchase in Santa Monica. I bought the car in 96(?) from the original owner. Runs and drives, will need a valve job soon, trans and sychros in good shape, new stock shocks and suspension bushings, new(ish) brakes, heater motor is dead, original rubber intact but needs replacing soon, Body fairly straight no bodywork or paint. Will need paint very soon. Interior intact but worn. Car comes with new carpet kit and original center console with radio and ashtray. clock is dead. Looks like a beautiful survivor to me based on your pictures. Loving the original Granada red paint. Easily worth 4K!

Good luck with the sale! And hope you find a worthy buyer!

Cheers,

P.S. here's my two Granada 1600's... :)

This one's been in my life since I was 12...

Very cool, wonderful patina.

I notice no cover on the wiper motor, does anyone know what year the plastic covers started being put on the them?

What first pops into my mind is the cutoff for the later generation wiper motor... If memory serves right it's the 71 1/2 cars "Model 71" that started getting the wiper motor cover.
