The classic bimmer contagion....pass it on

Recommended Posts

I've been corresponding a lot recently with my college roommate, Mike A. He'd mentioned that he wanted to get an E28 or E30 for his son. "Great, I'll help you." says me. :) Well, he just picked up an '84 Sapphire Blue 528e (5-speed) in the Atlanta area. I'd seen it on CL & I knew he could fly down there free since his wife is a United flight attendant... He talked the owner down on price and it's enroute to Ohio at 80 MPH. Get ready, Mike McCarthy, here it comes! ( a shameless plug for Foreign Car Svc. owned & operated by fellow '02 owner Mike McC. )

'14 Blazing Red Metallic Mini Cooper

'73 Sahara 2002 Franz

Great!

The E-28's are a really nice car! I spent 5 days in one a couple weeks ago when I accompanied my buddy to SF to pick it up and drive it back.

The car, a 535is, was amazing. Ran like a top and handled really well on a rainy PCH1, not to mention the icy high sierra passes, especially for such a big car.

My buddy (who'd never been west of the Mississippi) says it was the trip of a lifetime!

Your buddy's really going to enjoy it!

Cheers!

Why is this posted in the '02 General Discussion forum? I don't see how it has anything to do with 02s.

vintage BMWs, and there's always interest in the travels and exploits of fellow '02 owners & their friends & acquintances that involve BMW's of the same general era.
