Hi guys I have a 1972 2002 and I am restoring it from ground up I can post pics if you guys want to see it, but I have a question how can I decode my vin number (2584163) ? thanks guys....

that wont work for vin that old. from about 77 on, ok. probably show up as an E30. for your car, send your vin to:

i have seen it work on 74. but it is sporadic. the wrong information is worse than no information at all. the email will tell you exact production date, color, point of entry, etc.

The VIN for my ' 75 works just fine in both RealOEM and bmwfans.info

Just saw your post regarding VIN 2584163. I have the original dealer window sticker for that car. I got it when I purchased the car in the early 90's. I owned it for several years until a suburban hit me and totalled it. I'd love to see what it looks like these days. Any way you can post some photos?
