Yeah, sorry ... discounts like this are derived from an efficiency of order processing, shipping and admin (and that we have a few extra sets in stock). We can't offer it on the springs alone.

I already have your sway bars that come in this kit but I seem to have misplaced the Bushings and endlinks, are these available separately?

Yes, we have replacement bushing and end links. Figure (roughly) $35 for a pair or rear end links, $30 for front, pairs of bushings $20-25. Those are phone order items only, feel free to give us a call.

Forgive my question...

1. Is it a set of 4 springs?

2. Which of the 2 is lower stg1 or stg2 ?

3. will these fit my 68' 1600 with out mods (is bolt in?)

Info below is listed on IE's website, should address your first two questions.

Stage 1 IE Sport

"These sport springs lower the car 1.25 inches. This is about perfect for 2002's because the tires won't rub. Firm but not rough ride. These work with either HD or Sport Bilsteins. Priced for a Set of 4."

Stage 2 IE Sport

"These Stage 2 sport springs lower the car about 1.50 inches. We designed these to be more aggressive than other available springs. We get lots of requests for auto cross or "track" springs that are stock diameter and not adjustable coil overs. These will fill the bill, but are not to rough for the street. They are about 30% stiffer than our stage 1 springs. Bilstein sport shocks are recommended. Priced for a Set of 4."

You've got it right, Shupe - thanks for filling him in.

Yes - it IS a set of 4 springs. Stage 2 springs are lower (and firmer).

Regarding the 1600, I believe the only question is with the rear bar. If you have a factory sway bar in the 1600 now, then your rear subframe has the tabs necessary to mount our sway bar. If you do not have a rear sway bar, you'd likely have to fabricate a tab to hold the factory 'clamshell' (which encases the sway bar bushing).

I'll bet CD has a diagram of this somewhere...

A day late and a dollar short? How bout some "Grandfathering" or good customer extension, please? The money is burning a hole in my pocket! Unlike the stainless exhaust system and the vented drilled rotor big brake kit you guy hooked me up with in 2008......Both totally awesome!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
