  1. Are these a recently re-introduced item? I could swear these weren’t available not too long ago. https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=Radial+T%2FA&partnum=06SR3RADTARWLV2&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes I know T/A’s aren’t really considered a “performance” tire anymore, but maybe a good option for those who want the look, without going Federals or RA-1 PS So far I like my Federals, everyone says they’re no Toyo, but fortunately I’ve never had those so I don’t know the difference.
  2. Thanks for the help! Ended up finding one at Peter’s Hobby Shop. He even waited around as I was running late and took the time to let me pick his brain on a few things.
  3. Hello all, Pulled my clutch apart for replacement, and my flywheel is beyond machining. Anyone in the Portland area have a good one they are willing to part with? Don't mind if it needs to be machined. Thanks, John
  4. Where did you find a part number for the Redstuffs? Didn’t see them in the EBC catalog.
  5. I thought that too. I think you are spot on with pads and fluid change since they are currently “whatever was on the car when I bought it two years ago”
  6. Actually, that’s exactly the kind of answer I was looking for! I prefer detail and facts to back up opinions. I experienced some brake fade last year during auto-x, and was searching for cheap-ish help. I agree that the vented e21 setup would be the way to go, but it’s not in the budget right now, as my few auto-x outings last year showed me an LSD and better tires were top of the list. Thought maybe these could be some easy low hanging fruit. I think I’ll just make sure I have good performance pads, and flush out my brake fluid. Thanks for the info guys! John
  7. As the title implies, anyone use the BavAuto cross drilled stock size rotors? Worth the money? https://www.bavauto.com/34-11-1-117422d Thanks in advance, John
  8. I'd be interested to know what 205/60's are available for import that would be considered a "performance" tire. i'm aware of the race rubber one can get. Perhaps the new Dunlop Sport Classic? Is that a performance tire, or just a vintage looking tire?
  9. Thank you Slavik! It sounds like I should plan a Seattle trip in. I'll work it into a trip to visit the in-laws who live up there....good excuse to duck out of that for a while!
  10. Hello everyone, Kinda like the recent post, I'm looking for recommendations on a shop in the Portland area for building a mild/hot performance M10 head (weekend toy, auto-x) Don't want to give money away, but am more than willing to pay for quality work and parts. I know shops for other makes, and am sure they are capable, but would rather go with someone who knows 2002's. Am I driving to Seattle to Midnight Motorsport? Thanks in advance, John
  11. Hello all, First post here. As one of many who constantly wishes for 205/60's, I stumbled across these: https://www.vintagetyres.com/shop/en/tyres/dunlop-sport-classic Seems to have been introduced this year Anybody heard of/bought/using them? The seem like exactly what we've been looking for....except probably that pesky DOT thing. They certainly look the part, and a name brand!
