  1. Engine is Sale Pending, 4 speed still available.
  2. Tarek, if I don't get much interest in the whole package i'll let you know. Thanks
  3. M10 and 4 speed are Sale Pending Long story short, I recently picked up a 74 2002 that had been sitting for the last 5+ years. The previous owner past away and the son sold me the car, providing the limited detail he had on the engine. It was believed that the car was parked when the water pump went out. After getting the car home I replaced all fluids, soaked the pistons in Marvel miracle and fired her up! She ran great and smooth with just a leaky fuel pump and water pump. After replacing the water pump, thermostat, fuel pump, and filter I was able the run the car long enough to find that i'm getting alot of steam (white smoke) once the engine is hot. I'm assuming coolant is getting into the combustion chambers from either a head gasket, cracked head or valve guides. This is where I'm drawing the line with putting work into the M10, I have a M42 donor to install but was hoping I could cruise the M10 for a bit until I am ready to do the swap. I'm selling the M10 and 4 speed complete from weber to alternator, clutch, radiator and whatever else you want that won't be used with the m42, also has an a/c compressor but I don't know it's condition. I'm open to offers at this point, I don't have a good grasp on M10/4speed value so feel free to chime in with suggestions. Engine is currently in the car and can be briefly test driven I will try to do a compression test amd what ever else I can to further diagnose the problem thanks
  4. Just saw this on ebay, incase you are interested.
  5. i'm very interested. Where are you located and can you give me more info on the unit? Make/model? Thanks -Neil
  6. Just an FYI, you can ship it on a greyhound bus. They just put in on with the luggage. Cheapest way to ship large heavy items. It just has to be dropped off and picked up at a greyhound station.
  7. This is a 75 but looks pretty good. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/5648824511.html
  8. Thanks Chasmrider, looks like a good canditate... pm sent
  9. Bump, I'm still on the hunt for a roller/complete non running car. Looking to spend up to $3500 depending on condition
  10. I'm glad a member was able to get it before any flippers. I would have loved to fix this tii up to be my new daily driver had it been closer... Ohh well the hunt continues.
  11. Not mine, great price for someone with ambition! https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5643351074.html
  12. I talked to Craig about the car aswell when his ad first went up... He sure does love to talk but he did sound like he knew what he was talking about... That said I did make him an offer via PM and during our phone conversation he would not name a price for the car but did hint that he expects an offer around $20k for a car of this quality.
  13. Update: now looking at roundies and square tails. Thanks!
  14. Also, I'm interested in cars outside of the bay area.
  15. Found! Thanks to all those who participated. I'm now the happy owner of a 1974 sahara 2002! I'm still on the hunt for a project 02... i've opened up my search to all 1600/2002's, roundies and squaretails up to 1975. I'll be doing an e30 m42/5 speed swap. Preferably a straight body with mimimal structural rust, rough paint and rough interior is ok. Running or not, with our without drivetrain. Needs to have a title or a title replacement form filled out with purchase. I'm in the SF Bay Area
  16. Not mine... Has some rust but could be a good project for someone. "Make offer" http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/5586572822.html
  17. Is there some minor collision damage to the frontend? Hard to tell in pictures but it look like some of the frontend doesn't line up very well. Also how long has the engine been sitting?
  18. This is pretty interesting, would love to see what's all there. Nine cars for sale, must take all. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/5575814429.html
  19. The sellers craigslist ad said it was a 1975, guess I'll check the vin
  20. Hey Mark, can you elaborate on why this car would be hard to register in CA? From my experience bringing an out of state car to CA the only thing dmv did was verify the vin. This being a 75 wouldn't need to be smogged, would they still look for original smog equipment? The reason I ask is I'm looking for a 74-75 and have been looking at out of state cars. Thanks for an insight
  21. It's on ebay with no reserve. Looks like a dealer bought it
  22. I'm not sure if this is really a TI but i'm sure some of you gurus can verify it... http://m.ebay.com/itm/322087160380
  23. Passing this along, looks like a good deal. Hopefully one of you can grab it before a flipper. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5556703943.html
