The sad day has come that i’m openly admitting to myself that it’s time to sell my 02... my life has changed alot in the last year and I won’t have time to finish it for atleast the next couple years so i’m gauging interest in selling everything as a whole. If no one want to buy everything then I will likely sell everything individually but not until the large items have sold (rolling shell and engine/trans).
Current condition of the car is what you see in the first pictures, I pulled the gas tank, tail lights, rear glass and most of the interior to do rust repair in the trunk and relocate battery to trunk and scrape the interior before reassemblng the new drivetrain.
Car is a 1974 Sahara 2002 4speed California car, currently registered non-op in my name. I bought it from the son of previous owner who passed away. He owned and drove it for atleast 20 years before parking it for the last 5 years after some mechaincal issues. The car was complete and original when I bought it. It has some rust in the trunk and rear bumper area aswell as rear windshield from being parked under a tree but rockers, shock towers and pedal assembly areas look great.
Drivetrain is a 1990 e30 M42 and 5 speed trans with 160k miles on them. I drove the e30 regularly for a year before I parted it out. I also have the wiring harness, ecu (with 150hp chip), in tank fuel pump, driveshaft, radiator and Jakes’s motor mount/exhaust kit for the swap. Along with an M20 single mass flywheel and clutch assembly. Also new 4 point injectors and Coil-On-plug kit and E21 5-speed shift platform
The car has new H&R springs, Bilsteins struts, all new front subframe bushings and steering components imstalled. Motor mount has been reinforced. Has e21/volvo vented front brakes with new stainless lines.
Also have but not installed all rear subframe mounts and bushings aswell as VW rear disc brake swap.

- E30 battery distribution block and battery cable run to under rear seat or trunk
- extra 2002 steel fuel line to use as fuel return

Interior
- new esty salt & pepper carpet kit
- VW mk2recaros (was going to recover in black vinyl)
- e24 black rear seats
- nice blue door panels (was going to dye black)
- nardi steering wheel
- retrosound bouetooth stereo
- early chrome door/window cranks and ashtrays
- ugraded door stops
Exterior
- euro turn signals, good tail lights, nice grill
- early chrome bumpers/mounts
- e21 bbs mahle 15x7 wheels with new 205 nitto tires ( was going to pull the fenders)
- vw rabbit flares, turbo replica air dams (including 2 that where made to fit non-flared 02’s)
I have more odds and ends but this is the major stuff, i’ll add more detail as I look through all my boxes, it’s been about a year since I stopped working on the car. ☹️
