  1. I have called several times and no answer. Thank you for the advice. On to another car search.
  2. I was thinking of going to see this car. I'm not an expert so does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

  4. Well Mike, Let me know if the buyer does not call. I still love the sun roof, red color and tan interior and pre74. That is my perfect car. George
  5. Looks like Lawrence was sitting at the computer and timed his bid perfectly. Good for him for a wonderful car.
  6. God. Only 36 minutes to go. But I cannot pull the trigger. It is so far to Arizona.
  7. I sent this URL to my wife the other day and titled it "The Perfect Car".
  8. All of the parts listed are present. The only thing missing is a rear window. All rubber has been purchased. High end leather seats all new. If it were me I would just hire some one to assemble it. But it seems like a pretty nice set up. thank you
  9. I know I will try to get some photos. I am the potential buyer and the chassis is beautiful, unblemished. Thanks, George
  10. I have been admiring a neighbors 1976 BMW 200 for the last few years and watching the non-progress on the restoration. It is a 76, no sunroof. New Paint-12 coats I was told plus a total body restoration from rust. Has never been outside since it was painted. New standard carpet New Recaro leather seats front and back. New wheel and tires-not sure of the brand but they look NOS Alpina style. Engine has not run in a year or so but should run. Very clean and no leaks. New weber carb-single I believe. New front door side panels. New 3 piece grill The bumpers are pretty beat up originals. Almost would like to replace them with a pre 1974 style. He is torn but does not think he will finish it. I don't want to over pay but also want to keep him as a friend. The glass, interior, dash and trim needs to be installed. That means the seat, door panels, window regulators with glass. Any suggestions of a price? The car would photograph beautifully with no blemishes that I could see but I am not including photos so no one else gets interested-Haha Thank you if this is enough to go on. I priced everything out on the internet and it seems pricey. George
  11. Please explain the square front end. I am looking but do not see what your are referring to. Thank you George
  12. So the post was not so dumb after all. At least we were able to have a little reunion. This car seems to have everything I would like including a 5 speed and the ii motor. So what do you folks think about it for a first entry into the 02 world? George
  13. That's what I thought William. It appears that the modifications have all been made to improve the car. But I am a newbie and am still learning.
  14. Thank you for the thoughts. Maybe I should buy this one and the Tucson parts car. George

  16. I have really developed the 2002 bug. How does this group feel about this one. I have a really good body man but... http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/2789352441.html I talked to the owner and it has been 12 years since the Doctor owned it . Apparently the wife sold to a kid who wrecked it and it has been stored for 12 years.
  17. It appears that there is significant body work which would run maybe 3-4000 dollars. So what would a reasonable offer be for this Tii? I am just learning these cars. Thank you George
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-BMW-2002tii-Rust-Free-Original-working-A-C-/140685600173?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item20c183e5ad#ht_1070wt_1074 I am new to this forum and am very interested in purchasing an early 2002 BMW. This one popped up today and seems too good to be true.
