    I got a new Malaga roundie for Xmas, and I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a malaga with gold rb's. I usually am not a huge fan of gold but I think, gold with a polished lip, against that oxblood color might look pretty damned good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched but cannot seem to find a pic and I want to make a decision soon so I can have them delivered by the first week in Jan. Yanking subframes this week so I can put in the urethane, springs, shock, and brake upgrades. I will likely swap the diff and tranny this week too and plan to drive it the first full weekend in Jan. Thanks in advance for any help.

    I had a set of these on a 68 that I had something like 10 years ago. I always liked them, they were just a bit different than everything else out there.

    I have had a number of Uro parts that were horrible at best. The last thing I received that was made by them was an ignition switch for my Healey, and it was bad right out of the bag. The moving parts of the tumbler were floating around in the bag.

    TB, It looks like I am going to be stuck at home too. The car is more than ready, I just couldn't seem to get everything else in my world together. I sent you an e-mail, if you ever need any help give me a shout. I am pretty well setup at home for most repairs, and am always down for lending a hand to local 02ers. Zac give me a shout when you get a chance, I would like to try and put together a cars and coffee/spring drive for the club down here in Newnan. We could have a meet on the square and have a chance to gather for a bit, and there are some great roads in the area. We could probably even have a BBQ at my place if everybody was interested. I also wanted to see about possibly doing some tech sessions, or group techs where we can all get together somewhere and fidget with our cars. Since I can't hang out with you guys today I plan to finish the tear down process on #1660013, and start assessing the metal issues. So at least I will still be up to my eye balls in 02's.     Alright you guys, I have a window tomorrow so I'll throw a rebuilt carb and an ignition switch in the beater and see if that makes her happy. I'll see if the Rev. wants to come. Maybe we can load a piece of one of his NK's in the trunk! : )

    Zac, Your going to have to move me to the maybe list. The car I was planning on driving sold last week. #13 is in stages of tear down, and my 75 is sitting in Rev. Bubba's backyard in need of a pedal box and tranny swap. The only other 02 is my 76 and it might be too ugly to drive. . I have been far busier than I would have guessed for this time of year, no time for personal projects. Who knows maybe I can get the beater back together enough that you guys can point and laugh at it.

    I have several sets of 81-83 hubs, and the proper Volvo calipers, if you still need a setup. Right now they are just used hubs and calipers, but I could bead blast and properly paint if needed, and I have access to cross drilled rotors for decent prices as well.

    I have a customer who wants to do the e30 injection swap onto a 2 liter. Has anyone driven a car with this swap? Is it worth the time and money? I read the write up on it and it seems like a straight forward modification, but at 55-60 billable hours (according to the break down on the write up) worth of labor I want to make sure he is going to get good bang for the buck. The plan is to swap cams as well so we can use the e30 ignition.

    Usually if the car is backfiring through the carb it is a timing issue. Did you disturb or remove the dizzy? It does not have to be 180 out to backfire through carbs or exhaust. Even a couple of teeth will do it.

    Does anybody in ATL have a good used motor with a 6 bolt crank. I was going to try and drive #13 for the Fall drive, but all of my "spare" motors are 8 bolts. I have to use a 6 bolt with the manual clutch stuff, and do not feel like swapping in a pedal box, tranny, and driveshaft just too drive it for an afternoon and then tear it all down again, but having a spare motor around would be awesome. If i was going to be picky I would like a 68 date stamp on the head in case I ever need a spare head. Thanks, Jason
