  3. Hi @ all, Norberts car had a 2000cm (M10) 2valve engine, with electronic fuel injection ~230PS. Car was totally destroyed in Oberhallau (CH) 2010. (but I think it´s not the end, I know he gets a new body) Note, if you watch german DMSB Group H BergCup Videos, the red Numbers are the 2Valve class (1150, 1300, 1600, 2000 and more than 2000ccm), the black numbers 4Valve... cheers W.
  4. Hi, only a car-manufacturer was able to homologate cars and parts. But this means not, that the parts have to be built by the car manufacturer. By the way, BMW have done racing (with the 02) in the seventies, not circuit racing but rally! Think about the homologation of the M12 engine! The 2002 in season ´74 driven by Achim Warmbold and Jean Todt! Then the early years 70/71 Tony Fall/Mike Wood (BMW Works Car, Winner 2000ccm TouringCar Class TourAuto71) and Rauno Aaltonen/Paul Easter (the second works car) for example. So, you can´t say that BMW hadn´t done racing with 02 since ´69 ;-) Cheers W. PS: many parts are not produced by Alpina or BMW! For example the Alpina rims. The rims were manufactured by Ronal not by Alpina. It is a long list, short steering: ZF, CR 5Speed: Getrag/ZF(S5-18), Frontstruts neg camber: Bilstein/Fichtel&Sachs, AluCalipers: ATE.......
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhrkqdcFVAI ...have a lot of fun....W.
  6. I think that's the same I've heard but I'm sorry I don't know the details. Tommy ...we know the details;-) ....the problem is to find a 245CR.....but I prefer 235...
  7. Hi, if you have a 245 (M10 M20 doesn´t matter) you can take the fronthousing of the normal 4Speed Tranny (232) , then you have nearly the look like a original 235 CR. The secret is to know which modifications are needed ;-) W.
  8. Hi, both is correct. For example, see pics. Ratio at all 3 boxes is the same. I have tested! Cheers W.
  9. I think a friend of mine have a set of the others, but shipping to U.S. in this dimension will be abnormal expensive......
  10. Hi, I think you know the car.......or not? W.
  11. Hi @all, for sale 1x 5Speed Gearbox Type Getrag 235/5, rebuilt, like new. Wolle
  12. ....hmm yes, it could be difficult without german. Get in touch with them by mail, I think there is someone who is able to speak english. But I have researched on their website, there is a Wiechers dealer listed in the US. Firma: Auto-Mark Inc. Straße: P. O. Box 22 PLZ: 48640 Ort: Midland, Michigan Land: USA Email: auto-mark@charter.net Telefon: 001 989 859 2520 Maybe it helps. Wolfgang
  13. Hi, the manufacturer of the bars is Wiechers Sport Nienburg/Germany. It´s the cheapest way if you don´t find it in the US. http://www.wiechers-sport.de Wolle
  14. Hi, I saw the rims live. Yes they look really good. The CS center is another. The design is the same but the center have 5 holes. The shell is 15" or eventually 16" I am not sure. Wolfgang
  15. Hi, 5Speed Getrag 235/5 (good condition, tested in Hockenheim 2008) EUR1500.- ; LSD 40% ratio 4,45:1 1000.- each part plus shipping. Location germany. We also repair gearboxes getrag 235, 245, 265 Cheers Wolfgang
  16. Ah, yes you´re right. Getrag 245/4 is 0,805.....
  17. Hi, your idea is good and no problem to realise, but why buying at cahsel? Cheers Wolfgang
  18. Hi, no close ratio, because the switch for the reverse gear is on the upper side of the gearbox, so thats 0,87 ratio in 5th gear. In german called "Schongetriebe". It is a Getrag 245 E21 gearbox, with first gear left in front. The perspective of the photo is not good, so I can´t say if this is a 4 or 6cylinder gearbox. W.
  19. Hi Sean, Numbers on old Getrags are not very helpfull. Make photos of the left side and the top of the boxes and I think I can help. Regards Wolfgang
  20. Hi Bob, I think the rear bar is like normal 02. Only the front bar is thicker (20mm). A thick rear bar makes no sense at the Turbo. BMW want to setup the Turbo as an understeering car. But I can´t find any rear bar at realoem or other part lists...curios..... Wolfgang
  21. Hi, why don´t buy an original 20mm Turbo Swaybar? In germany the part is available at the local BMW dealer, don´t know in US. Regards Wolfgang
  22. This car is a FIA Group1 racecar. It is an original ! 2002TI. No flares, no other rims and no other tires are allowed....
