  2. i was wondering after looking at the port design of a few heads that they all look the same are they? has any one ever sat down and got flow numbers off 121 e12 e21-2.0 and 1.8 heads to see if there any difference?
  3. use the old race it happens to be the same size as the bearing race your trying to install... turn it over and drive the bigger side against the smaller side of the new race and drive it in i have done it this way every time i have drivin in the smaller race.
  4. i think every one moves the battery its easier for routing the intake. for weight distribution i dont think it is a bad idea any was to ship it to the rear there is a write up on using e30 parts i believe . also you could just heat or just slowly bend the dipstick out of the way as long as you dont change the over all length of the tube it should be fine 318 and 320s used a 2 piece dipstick to move it out of the way and used a hose to couple them together. email me with some of your set up guestings i would like to create a write up or section just for mega squirting.

  9. my girlfriend got a set during 02 fest. Al even sweetened the deal by installing them at the show. taking the new set right out of his car and putting his "back up" in. in case he sold them at the show. what a nice guy.
  10. well i thought there was a shmuck but i guess i am the shmuck for not looking on the inside to see how bad it was before sending it off to you. cant tell me you didnt have fun... good refresh for pulling the rear of the green one out and the roof dent.
  11. well pinch off the line and start her up and rev it a few times to burn the gas out of the line. its nor realy under pressure if it is before the pump its actually under a vacuum so all the fuel should run back to the tank.
  12. jack the ripper? think someone pissed off their girl friend i know mine would do that to my 02.

  16. is it cyclical? does it shange with engine speed increase? is it a popping or ticking? shorted plug wire, fan hitting alternator bolt (72golf haha) lower exhaust flange, or dough nut gasket anything man narrow it down a little more.
  17. was wandering in the slop today at another pick and pull and found a couple 325's and one 320. as far as i can tell every thing under the hood looks to be there except radiator. do any of you guys need any parts? going out there to get a few conversion things again tomorrow.

  20. agreed. and bigger is better right? as far as pistons go you more then likely have flattops which would not cause an interferance
