  4. Any routes you guys would recommend? I am leaning towards the 101, so I can visit my friends in each college town on the way: SLO, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz. etc... highway 33, highway 1, 101 ( even the 5?) I think I might stop by a couple of fAQ'ers houses if they are on the way, crash on a floor maybe as well. Please Email me if you have a location I can swing by, or want to get lunch. also does anyone recommend shops that I should know along the drive to SD, I think it would be smart to have a list just in case something goes wrong.
  5. Im finishing up on the engine break in process in my Turbo bimmer. I plan to take her on a trip down to san Diego this sunday. Ill be tuning her and driving her all week. to finish the break in. Also, Ill be changing the oil in 200 Miles after the break-in of the engine is complete. Meanwhile. I am tuning the VE tables for the megasquirt to get that all situated. Wondering if there is any way you guys would prepare for a road trip like the one I am taking, as far as things to check over, stuff to look at. etc etc. take highway 5? take the 101/1? thanks

  8. New best friends, NOW I am switching out the to4e TUrbo to be replaced with the holset Hy35. badass. Sorry you have been replaced. Took me about 2 hours to finally clock the turbo exhaust housing into the correct orientation. After letting hte mother sit in the oven for like 60 Minutes. If It wasnt for charlie it would have taken me quite longer, he walked me through it Started test fitting it. It fits in there, ITs a squieeze and I might have to jimmy the piping, but the wastegate valve is going to have to be welded shut, which can be done by some dudes at the university. also you can see the wastegate linkage is in the way, so that will be removed as well.
  9. SO I will be getting my exhuast done this week, and my titanium exhaust wrap should come by the end of the week as well. so that will get me to be 100% ready for the road, and getting Ready to Tune for my San Diego Road Trip Which is my Goal. I will be leaving on July 3rd to roll down there. Fucking exciting. HEre Is the Atmospheric Dump pipe DIY from the wastegate YEAaaaa buddy! Just a Little aquired PArts lot waiting to go on the car until I build up the rest of the suspension. I remember talking about leather shift boots, Well here is the first one. 13. I figured that was the goals of the pedal, but I was just curious as to if maybe it could provide daily driving with a little bit more manueverability and control I guess. My gas pedal linkage itself feels a bit sticky and I wish could be more smooth in general. I assume a lot has to do with the actual linkage itself, but every friction point that can be eliminated should help I am guessing. That is why I was curious about the aluminum bearings for the pedalbox as well.
  14. how does it compare to a normal pedal as far as leverage. Smooth operation, ease of pressing etc etc? Wondering if the function is greater than the form pretty much.
  15. I just wasted too much time on that aerocharger website. Those look pretty amazing, I am wondering why they aren't more popular.
  16. I forgot to mention that you should run lower boost with the higher compression. However, this does limit the amount of boost you can run.
  17. all of that is attainable, you will just have to find a system that literally Works perfectly in conjunction with all the parts. So you will want to match up the Cams with the turbo size, as well as compression. You will most likely want a higher compression for that set up, so you will get the low end torque you want. yet, the cam will allow for that bump up top. Look into Ball bearing turbos for that quick spool.
  18. I ended up going to the ARts building on Campus. WE are busting it out over there. Ill post up pictures tommorow.
  19. Time to get back to work, I need a Downpipe made. so I can ****ing finally drive this car around without Dying of CO poisoning, or Blown ears MAking a template like a boss! Gotta have them snickers to keep ya going Just tideous cutting and Measuring the entire time. I got the template made, but now I have to get my existing downpipe modified. All the exhaust shops in davis are too busy to help me, so I am stuck for a couple of Days, and I have a goal of finishing her by next week. If anyone has advice, or anything along those lines, like can lend a hand, that would be epic.
