  1. Based on the ISO numbers, I think that’s a wiper relay, not the flasher relay? SoM beat me to it…
  2. Thanks. $30 for SS ain’t bad ( I could easily go SS vs Al). Didn’t know they also offered finishes too. I only need a single bracket made… So I’ll convert my ‘to-scale sketch’ into a proper 3D model to upload! Tom
  3. The Austin Seven was lic by Eisenach which was purchased by BMW to create the BMW Dixi. ?
  4. My throttle linkage only gets hot whenever I’m out “getting coffee”…
  5. If yours ain’t working , take a very close look at the bottom of your wiper arms. (and yes, you do have to take them off to examine the ‘retention’ geometry between the spring hook, and where & how it hooks and the arm pivot movement). Your wiper arm could be old and worn, yes, but it could also just need a simple spring retention adjustment, or it’s sliding parts lubed… When it works, and it stays upright, there’s a noticeable physical ’detent/click’ point about 1” from the full swing up. The detent is actually even more noticeable when you start to move the arm back to the window, and you see/feel the point the strong spring pull happens. The lower spring hook rotates in its lower catch (while the upper spring hook moves in/out in the arm ) and the bottom of the arm ‘surround’ actually slightly pivots a degree or two in relation to it’s innards as it rotates on the lower pin at the top to engage the hold. When lowering, it’s the opposite rotate action the moment that the spring begins to pull down. A dirty/unsmooth interface between those two outer parts of the lower arm attachment surround or a binding pin might also prevent the necessary movement… yeah, I had to check it 😋
  6. Agree. Also advise having any heavy-load stereo/amps separately wired w/ fusible link to battery +/-
  7. Installed my pair of ‘winterization’ enhancements for my ol’ dual DCOEs. So so nice…
  8. I don’t think we had a door buzzer. The only wiring to the doors is to illuminate the overhead interior light. It’s likely the seat belt warning buzzer. Mine’s long gone… Maybe a search on the seat belt warning gizmo might turn up where it was mounted.
  9. Never mind. Found it with the under-dash panels…
  10. Learned something new. I’ve seen that curved cushiony panel before but just thought it was an ‘early style’ lower cover with the choke/hazard bits! So a final dumb question: where’s this lower cushiony trim panel in RealOEM? When I select a USA car, the steering column parts look the same as Euro/RoW… no lower cushion. Tom
  11. Modell 73 (74-76) were squaretail cars with the black plastic grilles and larger center kidney. 68-73 02s were roundies with chrome grilles and the more slender kidney. You have the later grilles & kidneys, with an early nose.
  12. Those small C holes being threaded - like something mounts and screws into the bottom cover panel itself - never made sense to me. All the other bottom cover holes take a through-fastener that screws into something ABOVE the cover. Not into the cover itself… Curious myself now, Cris! Tom
  13. Another pic. The C holes are actually threaded into the plastic but I’ve never had anything in them… so, to me, a mystery.
  14. Cris - can you change your attachment to jpg, gif or png? Those are the native FAQ image formats… EDIT: lol - just saw you did! My bad I ain’t got anything in C. Looks like short sheet metal screws in D?
  15. The pianos don’t look ‘grand’ ( tall) enough to be 9.5:1 to my eyes.. I’ll guess they’re the 9.0:1.
  16. For you guys who are familiar, what would something like this bracket cost - cut from 2mm or 1/8” alum plate? Cut, drill 6 holes, bend 70deg… thx Tom
  17. The typical issue is the signals don’t light due to poor grounds, especially at the forward signals where the ground is via the screws holding the signal fixture to the body. The signals lighting when you don’t want them to (like when you accelerate) is odd/rare. Is it happening on fronts or rear? My guess would be that it’s either the turn signal stalk or your hazard switch (or maybe the flasher itself) has a very loose wire/contact connection allowing it to ‘turn on’ from the cars reaction forces when you accelerate. But that’s a new one…
  18. They stay in 2 positions: pressed down on the glass, or standing up at the topmost lift point.
  19. Two other suggestions: Try Fuyao Glass, I also think they’re still producing 02 windshields, and they have several US plants. Try searching on the other 02 windshield BMW part numbers. The 3703 looks to be out of stock/NLA everywhere but the other two surprisingly show as still For Sale in a few places…? For example BMWParttsDeal shows the 3605 and the 8352 windshields as available and at a discount! (clearing old stock?))
  20. If you can’t find a used one, you can try getting a bit creative with a universal throttle rod lever… This one might fit on the knurled pedal pivot side, but you’d obviously need to increase the length by bolting an 3-4” extension onto the arm?. (I’d been eyeing this since our pedal levers went NLA.) https://www.ebay.com/itm/301710732408
  21. I’ve been running Samco silicone hoses in mine since 2006. They last forever…
  22. The Pilkington Classic shutdown happened just in the past couple months - they were open at the start of the year. NPG had invested in and sustained the classic glass production for several years, even making a big splash last year with Summit being a new distributor for their classic glass. So it’s very sudden - all their web locations are still there just ‘greyed out’. ☹️ Perhaps try contacting Sekurit, from Saint-Gobain? They were one of our OE glass manufacturers and still look to have 02 windshields per their website. https://www.sekurit-service.com/en/glazing-products/scope-of-our-range/classic-windscreens
