hmm - up here in NH it was cold and snowy earlier in the month but has now turned mild after a heavy rain. No salt on the roads, I may take her for a spin tomorrow - just for fun of course

Jeff,
The '75-'76 seats have much more "bucket" to them than pre-'75 seats. And I believe you are referring to the original tuck found only on the '75-'76 seats. It was done to the front and rear seats, and to both the seat cushion and the backrest. The first photo below is from one of the '75-'76 brochures. The second photo shows my '76's rear seat back rest. The tuck is still there but it is less pronounced than it originally was. They seem to fade over time. When I have the cushions next replaced I intend to have the upholster refresh these tucks.
Regards,
Steve
Steve - thanks for the info - that is exactly what I was thinking. I like the look of the tuck on the seat bases

Wow indeed - I might even add AC
When and if I move away from stock on my tii, say 10 years from now, I will take a look at an electric option - oh the horrors!!
all things considered, we may not have a choice

it would be great if someone could post pics of a WU seat as well as a GAHH seat. I have WU seats and wish they had more of a tucked look but they do not have any pull points on them to create a tucked look. hope this makes sense but I am trying to have a more defined seat shoulder by pulling the middle seat area down. I have also seen pics of seats with a pull running across the seat towards rhe rear that looks nice

Thanks for the photos. Looks like you still have plenty of space between the posts. How far apart did you mount them?
I checked this morning - the posts are 83" apart. Let me know if you have any other questions

sorry but I haven't mastered posting pictures - I just did a quick read on how and I guess if you are on Explorer, it is hard to paste them??
At any rate - I am fortunate that I do not have to breakdown the lift and can leave it in place. It was fairly easy to install once I drilled the holes in the concrete. I placed it on a floor that is approx. 5.5" thick. The manual was easy to read and follow. The jacking points/arms can easily reach the sub-frame. I also use the lift for my 46 Willys Jeep which is very narrow and short so I placed the posts a little closer than the manual called for.
I think it would be relatively easy to unbolt it from the floor and tip the arms back and roll them out of the way. Keep in mind they are fairly heavy and awkward but at 61, I did not have a problem moving them. the complete unit comes on a big pallet, I had it shipped to the maintenance garage where I work. They helped me load it into my utility trailer and I backed it into my barn - opened up the package and started one piece at a time. I chose the Maxjax because of the flexibility of the width to set it up. I use a rolling chair when in the highest position and a creeper when it is lower. It is very handy to get under the car even if only to check things.
feel free to email me for a photo taken right after I got the lift - my barn was a mess but you will get the idea. Next weekend I would be happy to take any photos needed

simple to install and operate

Hi Pat
I love my tune box and as you well know the remote start allowed me to get my daughter to her wedding on time! LOL

I purchased a World Upolstery (square weave) kit last winter. I am very happy with the quality and detail. I have seen the other kits and it was an easy decision for my needs. install wasn't too bad, it would be much easier if I had another one to do -

wow! great news - best of luck - just think of all the fun you will have at book signings! I think it is great that folks shift gears and start another "chapter" - I am on my third career and hoping for one more

phew - glad I did mine a few years ago.
I also bought my carpet set from them last winter - quality was great, better than the other vendors that I checked on

if you knew Pat then you would know that he is a very, very generous guy. At the Bav Auto Show he was more than willing to try and explain to me why my Pertronix was giving me firing issues. a few years ago he intoduced his tuner box to our community and we all said "great". I don't think Pat was getting rich off of his creation. helping our community is not what is putting food on his table.
so now some are dumping on him for not helping the second buyer of a car that he felt burned on and wanted to move on from???? what am I missing

it was a great show - Pat and his automatic made the trip without incident! No surprise!
Bav Auto does a great job hosting the event - 40 years! Those guys know BMW's. There were lots of cars and almost all the 02's were parked in a nice group. Right next to some nice Coupes! Hopefully someone will post some pics

great post - great story. I had a similar request for some seats I was selling - the buyer was getting them for his dad's resto project. I am such a softy that I gave him a REAL good price

Hi Pat
I am in - looking forward to seeing you there

I do find it odd that Esty critiques other vendors -I agree she a great resource, I just feel she should not venture into the fray when discussing others that supply our community
