    Only from dead cold....drive sit for an hour or two..car warms as normal.I always let my cars warm up for a minute or two from dead cold before driving and then rev lightly for a couple of more minutes. jgmgti

    thats possible.I had my cold start leaned out a bit by a local shop.The tech has been working on 02 since the 70's.Sound like it need to be fattened up a bit.I'm an automotive hypochondriac....I always think the worst jgm

    Z, thanks I have that and also bought a repo. of the 2002 tii manual butn the sluggish rev. from cold for 30sec. or so is not listed...wondering if it cause for worry or is it just a mild little irritation. jgmgti

    My 72 tii runs very well.Just recently on cold start she pops over quickly but for the first 30 sec. or so when I give a bit of gas she revs slowly.After 30+ sec she'll rev fine.Is this a cause for concern? any solutions would be great.... Thanks jgmgti #2761572

    yes the short hose to the heater core is very hard w/ an odd clamp 34 years old I guess.Could this act as a restrictor therfore minimal heat and cause the leak? jgmgti

    My heat has been minimal at best,made sure the valve was opening by the cable and it was.Now I notice a small leak.think its the valve or worse??? jgmgti
