Fucking mental. My favorite 2002 around. I prefer the black grill on the squaries, but its Terrys car and from all pics, this car is magnificent! Nice work!

the ticket i got was in july of 05 and it was only speed as far as i knew . it was an 89 in a 30mph zone. sounds horrible but i was in an enclosed business complex after hours on what amounts to a race track. cops were in the weeds with radar as they have non stop kids ripping it up on the weekends. i was afraid to fight it as how do you try and explain 89 in a 30?? i paid it and hoped it went away.
BEST! Out showing those young pecker heads how its done in the E30?

I had the quick replies to emails, friendly banter... even shared a bit of Esty bashing with the Canuck... all went to shiit the second I paid for the stupid product.
Look at all the pics of the work he has done, print them out, take them to a reputable automotive trimmer and ask him to replicate. It really isn't rocket science. Don't give the dude a bigger head than it already is. Pay the extra money for satisfaction of knowing if things go wrong, you can drive down to the place and have a chat to the craftsman about getting it repaired.

The car is coming together nicely.
I like the concept of HID's I just don't think this article does anything in my eyes for the concept:

LOL! ZZZZIIIIING
Hahaha, my sisters RAV 4. I almost lost my license today in it! Blunt's car has been off the road for a lot longer than mine and has been closer to being done than I have for a long time. I still see no light at the end of the tunnel.

The engine in my 1999 Land Rover Disco 1 had a thermo melt down this past Friday. It only has 105k miles on it. Not sure want happened but it's toast now. I do know one thing for sure, no more Land Rovers for me.
Those old Land Rovers are shit crates... every person I have ever heard having one has ended up almost slitting their wrists over them. The new ones are supposed to be better though.

Hahahaha, a perfect excuse to increase the 02 spending "because it is necessary, love."
I thought your Colorado would have been done ages ago!!

Stay tuned for an update... I have to bump this to motivate myself! There is pretty new silver paint under the layer of dust!

The saint... love them! It was one of the cars I considered when I was looking for my 2002.

Strut brace looks tough as! The Pool cue holding the bonnet open is a bit tack though :-P
-
Nice! Could do with some dropping though :-P I like the stripe, very period correct.

Shocked and saddened. DukeRimmer was a valued contributor and an all round nice bloke. He was super knowledgeable and his opinion was highly regarded. I wish his family all the best in this time of sadness.

What tyre width are you using on the Alpina 16s, Fernando?

The question we all want to know is....
"Any scalps yet?"
:-P
Not that I encourage street racing or anything...

WOW! Nice work! I bet it would be a great deal of fun now!

From all reports the Polaris was renowned for going dull and ratty looking, so BMW would respray under warranty free of charge. Maybe this was the prefered repalcement color?
-
I'd ship it back, but I really cant be bothered with the $30 postage and the time and effort. I wiped my hands clean of it and moved on.
Like you said to me it was a tough time. Lucky for you, you have traded through it. You left a lot of people in limbo for a long time, this is the bit that pissed me off most. I'm glad there are people out there who have had positive experiences with your company and I wish you all the best. I, however will never do business with you or recommend your company's workmanship to anyone.

FWIW, I would never do business with Al Larson from Seam's Perfect again.
It took a long time to get a head lining - which I paid up front for. I then used a professional auto trimmer who is highly respected in the classic car community in Australia, to fit it for me. The stitching was all cocked up and the thing looked just plain terrible when fitted (pulled, overlapped more in some places than other places)
I asked Al about it and was told "It's your HAMFISTED auto trimmers fault, we've done heaps of these!"
I never got a refund because I could not be bothered dealing with the person again. I wish I had listened to Esty's advice right from the start. I will openly admit that she annoys the stuff out of me with her pedantic ways, but she was right and I got stooged.
I purchased a BMW OEM replacement from Blunt and it fitted first time, no problems. After waiting 4 months with Al's "Oh what did you order again? Yeah, I sent it... Oh it's next in line, I will send it express for another $14" games... I should have saved myself a truckload of money and purchased OEM from the start - which was cheaper and better produced than the one I got from Al anyway - not to mention OEM!
I was sucked in by the fact that the pics of the cars all look so good, there were plenty of people singing his praises. Maybe when he has time to produce good quality stuff, I have no doubting he can do the right thing when he applies himself, but I got stitched up in the dark days and would not recommend his workmanship to any body based on my personal experiences. You might like to run the risk of being "one of the satisfied customers" I personally would not.
