  1. Welcome and congratulations on your first 2002. I hope that you get many years, many miles, and many smiles from it. In order to get a better response to your post, you might want to cut and paste what you typed in this (the Neue Klasse forum) and repost it in the '02 General Discussion Forum. Here's the link http://tinyurl.com/32hkgx Once again, welcome and best of luck!
  2. Wow. That's really cool. Thanks for posting it. It's kind of sad to see the sharp decline in numbers over the years. I'd love to see a US version of this, but I'm sure that the numbers would stagger me even more so.
  3. Great! Thanks for the extra pics. You're probably right about Paul not taking his 'new car' on the Bavaria Tour. There's always next year though. The following links just might be able to give you a better look at the lights. http://classicandvintagebmw.tumblr.com/67autocarfn2000titest http://classicandvintagebmw.tumblr.com/67msfnbmw2000titest Thanks again for the use of the images!
  4. Very cool. I knew that Paul was going to look at it but I never found out what happened. Is it ok with you if I save the pic of the 2000ti in your post so that it can be added to our 2000/ti/tii/Tilux photo album at http://tinyurl.com/4xoy73n ?
  5. Hmmm. You may have something there. Although I didn't see the pics when I logged into reply. I must have logged in from the reply screen and missed them. Thanks for the reminder.
  6. Thanks for the link. For some reason or another the images in this post weren't showing up earlier.
  7. What's more is that particular 2000tii has also been re-worked by Alpina. The BMW 2000tii may have been BMW's first tii, but Baur had actually designed and created a 2000tii Coupe back in 1964. http://classicandvintagebmw.tumblr.com/64baur2000tiicoupe
  8. (edited to fix a typo) I've spent a considerable amount of time digging up as much information as possible on these two multi-monikered Group 7 hillclimbers. So far, I've presented my 'findings' to a very limited crowd. In an effort to keep my research as accurate as possible, I thought that I'd post the information here hoping that some of you might be able to shed some more light on the topic. In other words, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance. http://classicandvintagebmw.tumblr.com/g767g768
  9. Wow! That's pretty amazing. I don't believe I've ever seen such a tiny copy of Playboy before.
  10. It's those kind of 'arm-chair' 02 enthusiasts that give B.a.T its pet name of 'Bring a Tampon'.

Condition is good with some small rust spots but solid. The car is complete and was last used in 1999 and was garaged since. The car would be fantastic if restored or even part restored as everything is pretty much there. I have spare bumpers, fuel tank, rear lights, a new front indicator, clocks and a few bits and bobs in good condition, these will go with the car. I bought the car because of its rareity and how good the body work is considering its age. The engine bay is really solid in all areas.... I have mislaid the key and the tilux badge is missing off the back. I would advise anyone interested to come and view the car first... 15. Some of you might find this compilation of information to be useful sometime down the road. The first page that I'm linking to is an overview of the BMW series codes that starts off with the E30s and works its way backwards to the post-WWII BMWs. Here's that link.. http://classicandvintagebmw.tumblr.com/index At the top of the page that I just linked to is a link to another page which has a list of the factory colors and paint codes. Here's a link to that page.. http://classicandvintagebmw.tumblr.com/colors Hopefully some of this information comes in handy.
  16. Willi Martini produced and raced what he called the '1600CS'. It/they looked very similar to the 2000CS. 4 carburetors and 150hp.
  17. I'm sorry. I had shuffled some videos around, which caused the link that had started this thread to break. Have no fear. Here's our entire Neue Klasse YouTube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/candvbmw#grid/user/A8BB0017C283FDE6
  18. The 'Dianas' all came with black vinyl headliners.
