Camera is Nikon DSLR D40, with a fixed 50mm 1.8 Nikkor lens, manual focus. Used the free software Picasa to download and enhance the pictures. Taken at basic setting (.4 meg). I know I don't know what I am doing, still learning. I do really like that lens though...

Hey guys, I don't think you're giving Michael enough credit for his photography skills--no matter what camera you use, there is still some artistic sensibility involved. Notice how he cleverly positioned Bacchus a little off center (first photo) and in the shadows while the distant background remained in sunlight--color burn brush?!? I don't think so with all the clouds in the sky that day. Nice shots.
