Where should I buy a fuel pressure regulator?

Webers like 4psi for fuel pressure as a general rule.

But like Esty said if you have the right pump you shouldn't need one.

The electric one people seem to like is the Carter, here is the info

You can buy this pump at many places.

I should add I have a Weber 38 and use a mechanical pump and it works perfect.

Webers actually don't like 4 psi- they would prefer it if there was almost no

pressure and a lot of flow.

Since this is hard to do, they TOLERATE 3 psi,

but you do need to be careful to tune for whatever fuel pressure you

happen to have. 1.5- 2 is really good, but you have to be able

to maintain it at WOT at high rpms and loads.

I bought 2 of those carters, and found that I ended up with 6 psi at idle.

Which lead to flooding.

The Holley regulators I've had recently are junk. Poorly cast,

badly assembled, leaky, and the seat pounds out of the casting

so they become leakers even if they don't start that way.

I've had good luck with the Mallory bypass regulator- it costs more than

the pump, though...
