header vs tii exhaust

Well, how many bucks?

1.5" headers, well- designed, are a good match for a 38/38 and a stout cam,

or 40's with a moderate cam.

1.625" headers might be better for a bigger inlet tract, but they'll cost

you in the torque dpeartment.

And then 1.750" headers if you really need it to spin past 8000...

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with doing the exhaust later. Do the head

work, get everything working, then change the exhaust to see what effect

it has. The stock tri-Y setup is superior for torque production...

Wow! What a pointless and quite unfair comment to make.

How is your gripe any different than mine? As Henri and CD both explained, this is an issue that has been addressed many times with little consensus. The fact that BingBong liked the look of something is no more on point than my exclaiming that I like vanilla ice cream. Obviously, there are many opinions out there, including yours, mine and BingBing's. Offering an opinion without any underlying support for the opinion is hardly a meaningful exchange of ideas.

My point is, BingBong made a comment that at least mentioned the headers. You're point appeared to just be a bit savage and uncalled for. Anyway, lets agree to disagree. Or at least agree that you appear to be a bit spiteful for no good reason...

Really, you are the one who's being cheeky. The mere mention of the subject evidently satisfies you. NB: vanilla headers.

Too bad Supersprint quit making headers for a 2002. At least - they don't show it in their catalog....Only thing I can find is the E30 with the M40 engine....

I have the ireland system right now. More HP? Maybe. Fit? OK - needed some mods to get it to fit up with the stock system. Worth it? Dunno...I do know that it was such a pain in the ass to install, it ain't comin' out unless I pull the whole engine.....Looks nice - yes.

If I knew what I know now before I did the swap? Would have bought the header from Supersprint last year when it was still available......
