Alpina bubble flares on '74 up - opinion?

I was wondering how you thought the Alpina bubble flares would look on the '74-up square tail light cars? All the pictures I've seen show these flares on the earlier round tail light cars. Would they look out of place?

I saw a beautiful black squarie for sale a few years back that had well executed pig cheek flares on it. I actually had mine made by Matt McGinn but since got cold feet about putting them on my squarie. They would look great, but it just didn't sit well with me. It would have been historically inaccurate to do that, because when the squaries originally came out they no longer used the pig cheek style flares.

Seeing these pictures makes me want to reconsider and weld them on. Maybe I will incorporate them on my next major build. At a tad above $10k not including labor, it's not going to happen this time around.
