did i get a diff car? (nt)

so i bought a diff car with the intentions to pass everything from a rusty/bondo shell to a rust free one but saw a couple diff things... different dash...

the guy told me it was a 72 but so is mine... maybe it is a 72 with upgrades or just diff dash? can anyone confirm that dash with different buttons? doesnt have motor/tranny/stickers....

i do have maybe a vin i found on the fender but again could be different fender.. 1677613

What you have there, by what I see in the knobs, the gauge cluster, and the red flasher on the left, is from cars earlier than April '71.

I'd like to have that cluster if you sell it.

nothing wrong with that, pick and choose the best parts but always take the car with the best body to restore. Mechanical restoration is childs play compared to body restoration.
