gaining access to ball bearing in 32/36 weber

Has anyone out there ever drilled out the lead plugs out of a 32/36 weber to get to the ball bearing in the accelerator pump?

Mine appears to be stuck and I don't hear/feel it move around when I shake the carb.

Also, where can I get the replacement lead plugs after I drill them out, I've checked weber websites and it doesn't seem like it's included in the rebuild kits.

Not sure how small the plug needs to be - but what about using a portion chopped off a lead fishing weight?

I looked again at the carb it's actually a brass plug not lead. I'm going to see if I can jog it out with compressed air.

Couldn't you hit it with some carb cleaner from the open end and try to free it up. Then a bit of triFlon or such to get it moving.

I did just that last night, the ball bearing is FREE and the newly rebuilt carb is back in the car! Thanks.
