Chrome trim removal?

I am starting to prep my 75 2002 body for paint. Before I just start to pull stuff off what is the best way to remove the chrome trim on the car without messing it up so you can reinstall it later?

remove the end fasteners...you'll have to remove the inside panels to get the nut's off the back of them , then lightly pry up from the bottom, it should snap off....you may be able to pull the sides off from one end after removing the metal fasteners

beltline trim...the narrow aluminum trim that goes around the entire car, that's what i described....then you have the knee moulding, if you have a later car...that's the black, rubber trim on the bottom part of the sides...the drip rail will most likely be destroyed and the window/post trim is attached with rivets that you'll have to drill out

some of the models vary slightly but they all have end pieces that you remove first.

I've had various beltline trim pieces on and off over the years and have found that flattening one end of a popsicle (sp.) stick and using it to pop the trim off the press-fit clips works well.
