How many degrees off do you time these engines?

I didnt see a faq for it

I'm tired of doing it by feel, gonna find a cheap light off ebay

also do pertronix/mech distribs have dwell? I've seen references to set the dwell?, but no idea how on these

specs are, 74 2002, tii mech bosch distrib, pertronix into msd2 coil, I run 92 pump gas

Sight hole is just behind the starter, up towards the firewall.

You can also time off of the front pulley.

The next time you replace your clutch or clean up your front timing covers, put a small dab of white paint in the timing marks on the flywheel or the front pulley. When the timing light hits that white it will be easier to see, especially in bright daylight. Otherwise, try to use the timing light when it is just starting to get dark outside.
