anybody know Stromberg 150/175 cet carbs?

i saw some stromberg 150/175 cet carbs for sale and was wondering if anybody had used them, knew anything about them, or had any information about them for me? thanks -chris

Think i saw somewhere that they came out on some early (E12) 5series cars with the M10 engine.

These days i think a weber downdraft would be much better.

They will always rank second to a SU. carb.

I am not a weber person but it has to be said they are way above stromberg in efficiency and performance.

175 was fitted to late '70's Mercedes-Benz 220 and 230 4-zylinder ?

not a great "performance" carb, but excellent quality casting, and

forget about 'tune-ability' for performance - just a good smooth

economical unit.

My '67 Alpine has dual Stromberg 150s. The usual first induction upgrade is to fit a single Weber 32/36, if that tells you anything. It's a nice carb, but nothing really special, other than the looks.
