I don't hate, but I don't understand what you're saying.  Could you please post examples?

I put KUMHO SOLUS TA11 tires on my car last summer.  The price was reasonable and they seem just fine.  It's a daily-driver, not a race-car, or a show-car.  I suppose it's an economy-car.

E30 steelies are still available at your local dealership parts counter or vendors such as Blunttech, FCP Euro, etc... https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-steel-rim-schwarz-51-2jx14-et-35-36111178826?  Take a rattle can of silver wheel paint on the E30 steelies and you'll see they look great on an 02.  Do a search in the FAQ forum for E30 steelies on a 2002 to see pics.  If I were to buy 13" tires, it would be Pirelli CN36 185/70-13 but they are nearly $200 each and been on back order for a long time.

Tirerack seems to have very expensive Michelins now in 185/70/13...
