Rear subframe bushings

Hi all-I have a question, and a note on this job:

-In searching the forum, I saw mention of the diff "hanger" bushings being difficult to remove. I found that a 36mm socket is precisely the size of the sleeve of those two bushings; I greased the outer rim of the socket and was able to push the old bushings out(the socket can fly right through) with a hydraulic press, took less than 5 minutes.

-the front bushings for the rear subframe (the ones that mount to the studs in the body/frame) are not symmetrical. one side protrudes further. Which side of the bushing orients upwards, towards the car? the thick side, or the thin side? thanks! making progress here.
