Price: $3500

Description:

I purchased this 1975 2002 with automatic transmission last year with the intention of driving it while I worked on restoring it.   The previous owner previously used it as his daily driver, then it sat for about ten years before I purchased it.  Excited to find one local to me, I didn’t do my due diligence and once home with it, found out that the engine was locked up, water in the oil.  I then proceeded to take the engine out and tear it down for the machine shop to go through it.  I have decided to part with it now and cut my losses; I paid $5500 for it.   The car was sold new in Atlanta, GA and I believe the right person could bring it back to life.

Currently, the engine and transmission is out of the car.  All parts that have been taken off have been bagged and tagged.  The previous owner told me that the transmission had been rebuilt shortly before it was parked, but I have no way of verifying that.  The car is complete, but will need a complete overhaul.  It does have Recaro driver and passenger seats which need to be redone.  The dash is cracked, but I do have a crack-free dash that is included which originally came from a manual transmission car.  The interior is dirty and would need a good cleaning.  The rear seat has some tears from age.  The sunroof does open and close.  There is some rust around the sunroof frame, and front and rear windows.  There is a small rust hole at the front, passenger marker light as well.  The previous owner had an inexpensive Maaco paint job applied at some point in the past.  The shock towers are solid.

If you have any questions, please message me.  I am flexible on price.

I think the most expensive part about fixing that car would be to address all the rust and a paint job. Have you priced a decent paint job lately? With the inflation of cost of living, cost of paint, material and labor has gotten out of hand! A driver quality paint job costs anywhere between $4k-$7k where I live. That doesn't include much welding atall. If welding floor boards etc, then it can hit $10k. It's crazy.
