Seat belts for rear E24 coupe seats

I really like the look of the coupe seats in my car. I want to pose the question of what seat belts others who have made the swap are using. I can live with lap only as the rear seat is very seldom used but a nice shoulder setup is interesting. Thanks for any ideas.

I have VW rear retractor belts coming out of the rear deck. I then bought the female clips from an inexpensive set on ebay. The female portions have about a 18" or so strap so they bolted to the stock locations and feed through to the middle holes. Eventually I'd probably put non retractor belts in. Just not worth the complexity to do it again.

I’ve been concerned my stock female belt anchor locations could prove inadequate even for a basic lap belt because they are farther from the tunnel than are the center console holes. As such, seems like under a crash load the female belt would attempt to crush or launch the center console.

I don’t have mine buckets installed yet, but was thinking use of the belt openings in the console without risking such a load upon the center console would require belt mounts welded to tunnel.  Maybe another possibility is to route the belts from the stock anchor points out between the buckets and the center console just to keep the console out of the load transmission business.
