Correct door seal channel?

Is this channel correct?  With all the other jackleg repairs on this car I expect these may be some aftermarket bits.

The aluminum bit surrounding the top edge?  Yes it looks correct.  I haven't installed my door seals yet, but am lead to believe that it covers them entirely, so I assume appearance isn't an issue.  It was originally pop-riveted in place, I think I see screws on yours.  There has been a lively debate here about rivets vs. screws for other parts, I'll leave that to those with opinions.

These are in with, what appears to be, 1/8" pop rivets.  Because we are going to have to repaint anyhow they are coming out and going back in later.
