Turbo Model Number EB32G? The only one?

Had someone overseas offer me what is allegedly a KKK turbocharger off a 74. However the Model number is clearly K04 not EB32G. Did they ever make a superseded model number or a re-run of turbos after the cars were built?

Over the production run, I think the nomenclature changed.

I use the Ausfuhrung “application/execution/model” numbers versus relying on Modell designation.

These are the applicable Ausfuhrung for have found:

notice red labeled turbos have the same Ausfuhrung but different Modell#.

The only difference in the three, I have noticed, is the red labeled units with 980 as middle digits in the Ausfuhrung need the adapter for the turbo’s oil inlet; the blue labeled unit with 0 in the Ausfuhrung is a direct fit for the oil inlet hollow bolt - no adapter needed.

BTW some literature says it was from "a truck".

 

Is there any other power plant that this was used on as a cross reference?

Thanks M6smitten. I am guessing all the turbos were identical other than the oil inlet? I take it all 3 models looked almost identical?
